  • Beck Millsom

Beck Millsom began crafting handmade ceramics as a form of art therapy in 2019 after completing a Bachelor of Communication Design and navigating single parenthood. Born out of a backyard shed (and eventually graduating into various sunrooms) and desire for muddy hands, a cross-over of illustrative applications inspired by tattoo art and mythology on ceramic forms kicked off Beck’s reputation as an emerging ceramic artist in Melbourne, Australia.

Under the pseudonym Ophelia Weeps; Beck invites viewers into realms of magic and alchemy. Infinitely expanding and integrating knowledge acquired through creative play.

In July of 2023 Beck opened Sunroom Studio; a space that is open to families, kids and anyone who just wants time and space to create /+ play. Beck currently teaches beginners and intermediate wheel throwing workshops and courses and loves every second of it.

  • Meg Croydon

Meg (she/her) is a self-taught First Nations ceramicist. She began ceramics in 2018 as an outlet while working in the human services sector. She prefers hand building to wheel throwing due to the accessibility of the practice and will guide you through the fundamentals of handbuilding and facilitate play.

  • Joe Say

Joe (He/They) is a self taught potter and maker. They started learning ceramics in 2020 while working out of a home studio. They were introduced to handbuilding years ago but have since found a passion for working on the wheel. As a self taught ceramicist, Joe loves exploring new ways to turn a lump of clay into something you can connect with.

Joe’s passion for ceramics is inspired by the fluidity and versatility of the medium. The dream is to be able to marry design with function and to push the boundaries of what their hands can create. Combining different techniques such as carving and sculpting with wheel throwing ensures that each piece is unique. They work with the guiding principles of accessibility and sustainability. Joe strongly believes in the power of art to bring communities together and is open to collaborations and commissions.

  • Caine Stednitz

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, USA and currently residing in Australia, Caine is a formally taught and self explored ceramic artist, teacher and student of the medium with an emphasis on Turkish style wheel-throwing techniques. He practices many forms of ceramics including wheel throwing, slab and coil-building and under-glazing. In his practice, he seeks to explore a range of disciplines in clay by challenging himself through form, functionality and textures.

Caine strives to honor the primitive aspects of ceramics while simultaneously giving his pieces a modern twist. Caine’s passion for ceramics extends to teaching others and encourages his students to pursue ceramics as a practice in free-flowing creative meditation.
